While not a place I'd like to spend an extended vacation, the Scottish Inn was fine for a 1 night stay. The hotel was easy enough to find with the map of Sparta we picked up at the Wisconsin welcome center, it's right across the street from Ruby's Drivein and Ben Bikin, the 32 foot tall statue of a man atop a big wheeled bicycle.
Unique Quality: The room was definitely a budget room, the decor from another era. The bed was comfortable enough, the room was quiet at night. The room was clean, there was a small refrigerator, a coffee maker and cable TV. There was an alarm clock which is good because as far as I can tell the wakeup call never came.
I think there were packets of shampoo but I brought my own so I didn't use. The shower was small, enough hot water for a shower. The towels looked like they could use a little bleach.
We paid $69.99 for the night plus tax.1
