a fine view
Superior still has the easiest to see ore docks. They're right off US 53 on the east side of town. They're private property, but one has been closed and the dock is being used as a public launch. That makes it easy to get up close with the huge ore loading pier. The loading chutes have been removed and the tracks pulled from off the top, but there still impressive.
Superior is a neighboring city to Duluth. Typically I like to find the good about all places I go, but one of the only things Superior has to offer are BARS and liquor! Not chic bars either. Superior is located in Wisconsin which means that the liquor stores are open seven days a week until midnight. In Minnesota liquor stores are open Monday-Saturday until 10:00, so if you missed the last call just round the troops up and head over the bridge!
