take a drive out of town towards Laramie on Happy Jack Road and go see where the deer and the antelope play along with the beautiful natural rock formations in and around the Medicine Bow National Forest. during the month of June you can go to the old town section each night at 6 PM and see the Cheyenne Gunslingers put on an oldfashion gun fight
If you like camping you would enjoy stopping off at the Curt Gowdy State Park that is located about 25 miles outside of Cheyenne on Happy Jack Road. There is a beautiful lake for boating and fishing and camp sites.
I was born and raised in Cheyenne and spent 20 long years trying to find a way out. It's funny though - the older I get, the more appealing Cheytown seems to become. I guess roots are more important than they seem when you're a kid.
Little city with western ambiance. Wyoming capitol is in this little capital and is a must-see (free tours). There is a stuffed buffalo in the hall (it is the state symbol), very impressive. Besides that, there are a couple of churches worth to see. People very kind and hospitable. If you want an exotic souvenir, look at the flea market at Lincolnway Avenue.

Pequeña ciudad con ambiente del oeste. El capitolio de la pequeña capital de Wyoming hay que verlo (tours gratis). Hay un búfalo disecado en el recibidor (es el simbolo del estado), muy impresionante. Aparte de eso, hay un par de iglesias que ver. La gente muy amable y hospitalaria. Si quieres algún recuerdo exótico, busca en el mercado de pulgas (flea market) de la avenida Lincolnway.
