The King’s Inn is a two floor accommodation that was built in 1994, and remodeled in 2000. The inn is an adobe style building, with a uniquely decorated lobby, including a fireplace to complete the ambience. The outside looks like a South Western style inn, however, when you go into the lobby, it is decorated with an African motif. I must warn you that there are a large number of taxidermy animal mounts from Africa within the lobby, both heads and full mounts. Some examples are an elephant head, a full mounted zebra, rhinoceros, full mounted lions, and many others. Some people find this interesting, others do not, so if you find this objectionable, you will not find the lobby to your taste. People who I have talked to that have stayed in the King’s Inn have told me that their rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet. The rooms are nice sized, and the staff is friendly. Each room includes a small refrigerator, coffeemaker, hairdryer, and a flat screen TV with HBO. You have the choice of rooms with one King sized bed, a room with two double Queen size beds, a Family Room that includes three Queen size beds. Their high end room is a two room suite with one King sized bed, and a whirlpool Jacuzzi spa for two. There is no elevator to the second floor, however, so if stairs are a problem for you, be sure to reserve a first floor room.
Unique Quality: The hotel includes conference rooms, free wireless internet, laundry facilities, an indoor swimming pool, and a Jacuzzi. A continental breakfast is included with your room.
Directions: The King’s Inn is located along the road to Yellowstone, Hwy 14,16,20. It is on the west side of town, near the rodeo grounds.
