Security Issues at Snow King

Recently spent five nights at Love Ridge / Snow King as part of a large group. While the condos were very nice, four of the nine condos that we rented were robbed. The management made no attempt to contact us to remedy the situation. Thanks to the Jackson police department some of the stolen items have been recovered, and the thief has been caught. He was an employee of the resort, which calls into question Love Ridge / Snow King's screening process. If you stay here be sure to use the safe (if it works ... our safe was broken).

Like many tourist resorts. . . .

This place located on Snow king Avenue (of course!)is a big touristical complex, with rooms, cabins, suites, etc. . . It has all facilities to organise conferences, meetings, seminars, has a pool, sauna, torture room (oops, I mean gym and so-called fitness instruments); well, all comfort, with bar in the basement, big breakfasts, comfortable rooms, balconies with view on the mountains, tennis courts and on the north-eastern side open air operating big and VERY NOISY generators and centralised air conditioning system! So, avoid rooms on the north eastern side, or your nights will be rocked by the sweet noise of these machines!
It is located a bit outside the city, but there are shuttles to town and to the airport.

Ski Chalet

Designed as a ski resort at the base of the Jackson Hole Ski lifts, this resort offers reasonable rates for a good deal of luxury in the summer. Although located on the edge of town, the main dowtown shopping area is just a short 5-6 block walk.

Jackson Hole hotel

Clean with what appear to be newly furnished rooms. This place is within about 4 blocks of downtown Jackson. I'd recommend it. There is a good bar downstairs with live entertainment.

Rates were reasonable given the time of year. I thought the SK was a good value compared to other Jackson hotels.

The Snow King had pretty nice...

The Snow King had pretty nice surroundings for a good price. They are on the outskirts of town though at the base of the Snow King hill.

Jackson Hole reservations offers a great package that includes lodging, lift and airfare from Chicago for 4 nights at $499 pp. Double occupancy. Find more info at www.jhsnow.com
99-250 without package.

Unique Quality: Outdoor pool and hot tub. Nice saloon. 2 restaurants. Large lobby with fireplace. Nice views. Free shuttle to ski hill and town.

Largest full-service resort at Jackson Hole

Here's a picture from the room. The place is a winter resort and had lots of metting and conference rooms.

Don't know the cost because my company paid for the trip.

Never Again

by TripAdvisor Member smith16

We just got back from a two-night stay in one of their 3-bedroom condos. We booked it in advance from Expedia and paid $480 a night. My brother and family surprisingly showed up the same day and got an exact condo for $280 a night (walk-in rate).

Although this bothered us, it was not the big problem. The big problem was that the condo was a dump. The carpet had HUGE stains everywhere, the walls had large chunks taken out, and there was no airconditioning. The condo was very dated- looked like it was built and decorated about 25 years ago. Also, the beautiful view that we had expected was of the side walls of the next condo. We complained to the front desk and got no response. No reaction whatsoever. I'm sure they know about the condition of the condos and don't care. Never again- don't stay here- it's a complete dump. We would have left after the first night but we couldn't cancel the second night.

Great location, great room

We stayed 3 nights at the Snow King in August. The hotel was very quiet. We had a room with 2 queen beds. The room was clean. The location was great as you had the pool and the alpine slide right outside the lodge. The mini golf looked pretty lame so we didn't play that. The alpine slide was a lot of fun, but pricey at $15 a run. If you want to save a little, go after 4:00 pm when the price drops to $10 a run.

We didn't eat in any of the hotel restaurants. We went into town for breakfast at the Bunnery (don't miss the pumpkin muffins) every morning.

In all, the location was great (not in the town square with all the traffic and noise, but close enough to walk into town). The hotel was quiet and clean. We would stay there again.

teton views and warm fireplace

by TripAdvisor Member thehob

we spent one week in one of the two bedroom condos last december. overall we had a very nice stay. the views from our balcony offered spectacular teton vistas. the condo was very obviously recently renovated. the fireplace was wonderful, beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked & great for cooking. the jacuzzi tubs were perfect after a day of skiing. the overall set-up of the condo was great for entertaining and serving up large dinners.

our only complaint was that housekeeping and the overall service was VERY mediocre at best. were told that we would have a hot tub - no hot tub. housekeeping was a no-show multiple times and front desk/reception was not very helpful.
