The Wort Hotel in Jackson. The name is funny but the accomodations, food and service are excellent. The town itself is something to see, with the old board sidewalks, false fronts, and a nightly gunfight. The interior of the hotel is a blend of the rustic and elegance, and the restaurant ( The Silver Dollar ) has excellent food and service.
The Wort Hotel has reasonable prices and okay food. I ordered a buffalo burger and it was fine. Not great. I've had better. But it has a nice bar area and the service is pretty good. For the middle of Wyoming, their seared Ahi Tuna is a delicious appetizer. Their wings are quite good and you get a good portion of them. Nice beer selection.
The Silver Dollar Grill at the Wort Hotel.
There's 2,032 silver dollars inlaid across the bar. The atmosphere is classy, yet casual. It's also dimly lit with live music. They serve game,beef, and fish grilled over mesquite and alderwood coals. Their Elk Chopsare to die for. 2, 4 oz. chops are served in a raisin current Grand Marnier sauce. Also good is their black iron skillet hash browns.
Who has the best steak in Jackson, WY?
Guess it's a matter of taste and when you go to Jackson. Million Dollar Cowboy bar is a guaranteed (not main bar but restaurant under). To me, food cannot be beat at Jackson Lake Lodge, but they do not open until after the snow melt.

The buffalo filet mignon at the Silver Dollar Bar in the Wort Hotel is tops. Tied for a close second are the Cowboy Steakhouse and Burke's Chophouse. All right downtown in Jackson.
