THE HATCHET RESORT near Moran, Wyoming This is a great place to stay if you enjoy the outdoors and recreation associated with that. They have facilities to board your own horse or rent theirs if you opt for that instead. They rent snowmobiles or bring your own. We were there as winter set in so that we did rent. First time on and it scared me to death. The guide was slow with the whole group since most were new at this snowmobile stuff. Well worth the trip just to do that. My husband went out deer hunting with one of the guides and shot his first Muledeer. Snow was early that year and they didn't expect to trek through the white stuff. Now, he's satisfied to have gotten the one and only.

This was just a place we snowmobiled to.. ohh the coldest day we had.. (frozen fingers! made for good memories tho? haha Thanks to Lar.. I warmed 'em up on the sled engine.. that's my man-it's love)
We simply stopped for lunch and warmth. The food was good...friendly service. AND..this was the first place we got cel phone service throughout our trip (not that we minded the seclusion from 'others', but business is business...)
