Basaic Worland Page
Worland is the county seat of Washakie County, and has a population of over 5000 people. Worland is located in North Central Wyoming at the intersection of US Highways 16 and 20. It seemed like a very nice town.
Across the street from the Washakie County Court House is Pioneer Square, which is dedicated to the pioneer spirit which helped establish the town and which Worland claims to still have. The park had a bell tower, some nice statues and some plaques telling the history of the town and the county.
The county was named after Chief Washakie, a renowned Shoshone Warrior. There is a statue of Chief Washakie on the grounds of the Washakie County Court House.
