I will admit right up front that I have not stayed here. Probably never will, unless I win the lottery. But friends of mine have, and I have heard nothing but positive reviews so far. And hey, let's face it, with prices like these, the rooms, services and amenities should be perfect, and I hear they are. The hotel took 10 years to build and was finished in 1928. The architects Valentin Brodsky and Estanislao Piravano designed it. It was remodeled in 1930, again in 1960 and most recently in 1990. The materials used to build the hotel were brought from France. Throughout history, hundreds of important people from all over the world have stayed here. From regular rooms to the Presidential suite, you would be hard pressed to find flaws with either service or amenities. Consistently named Central and South America's best hotel year after year. The restaurants L'Orangerie and Jardin D'Hiver are open every day. Satisfaction ratings were based on reviews from close friends and associates.
