We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Dazzler. The hotel is modern and is located near the Colon Opera House. It is within walking distance to all the main attractions of Buenos Aires. The hotel's staff was very helpful. They recommended some good restaurants and activities. A double room cost about $60 US per night.
The hotel overlooks the Plaza Libertad where at breakfast you can see the professional dog walkers of Buenos Aires take literally 12 dogs on 1 leash.
Dazzler Libertad: Very good hotel in Retiro's district

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Dazzler. For a first stay at Buenos Aires, I though that the location was very convenient, quite and at the same time near the Microcentro and the shopping areas. The staff was friendly and helped me out when I was in trouble. The rooms are very confortable, nice and clean. The breaksfast room is very cool, with a great view on the streets around. And there is a free internet access in the lobby. Great Place and not that expensive.
- Free internet access - Cool view on the street at the restaurant
We stayed there for a week at the Dazzler Libertad (after not having luck with the furnished apartments) It's a nice little hotel, great service and great location. The room is big enough and, as a plus, we had an amazing view to the park (according to my fiance, one of the top 5 views from our trip) Breakfast included (it's OK, but hey! it's free!) they have an office downstairs where you can connect your laptop to internet and thye have one computer to check emails. Otherwise, there are tons of internet places in the area, where you can check emails for 1 USD per hour.
I liked this hotel, specially because it has an excellent price/quality relation.
It's 3 stars, tghe size of the room is good, every suite has a kitchenette and a frigobar, views from the room not very good. Buffet breakfast is included.
Business center is small (only 2 computers, most of the time with people waiting) The hotel has swimiing pool and a small fitness center. The staff is helpful.
I made the reservation through Internet and they had to call the reservation desk to check my reservation (I think that it should like an online process)
- Well located - Outdoor Pool - Small Fitness Center - Small Business Center (2 PCs - No printer available) - In-room kitchnette &Frigobar
Stayed at the Dazzler Libertad from 07 to 17 October 2007(10 nights). Wasn’t sure what to expect from South America, but was pleasantly surprised. The Dazzler’s reception area made a good first impression. Friendly staff, well kept area. The room on the 7th floor had a park view. The noise level was never a problem, morning rush hour or in the evening. People running as well as dog walkers use the park. Made for a nice stroll on one afternoon. Room was cleaned spotlessly on a daily basis. Laundry service provided good extra value.
Staff made an effort to understand what I wanted to know as English is not widely spoken. Almost every time I was satisfied with their help. The internet connection in the front area was always on, no matter the hour. Fast connection made emailing & browsing a breeze. The hotel restaurant on the first floor is where breakfast was served buffet style. From the afternoon this was available for lunch and later dinner. The breakfast never disappointed with a wide variety to choose from cereals, fruit to eggs and croissants.
The hotel is located 2 blocks away form Santa Fe. Also within easy walking distance is Florida Street (including Galerias Pacifico Shopping Mall) and Plaza San Martin. Otherwise it costs around AR$5 to get there by taxi. Puerto Madero was around AR$10.
On the corner of Talcahuano y MT de Alvear was an HSBC bank with a BANELCO ATM for cash. On the same block halfway down Talcahuano to Santa Fe was a Disco supermarket with very reasonable prices. Inside was a LINK ATM I used a couple of times, as my MasterCard Credit Card didn’t work at BANELCO. You can only use debit cards for cash withdrawals at BANELCO ATM’s.
Checkout was extended from 10am to midday without a problem or extra cost. All in all an enjoyable stay in Buenos Aires at a Hotel I can unreservedly recommend. Will stay here if I return to this lively city.
When out on group tours we enjoyed dinner no less than 3 times in this restaurant. The food had generous portions & was well presented. Our waiter was very friendly and assisted in selecting the main course. One of them could even respond in Afrikaans!
