Argentine Open Polo Tournament
by tengoal
We'll be finishing a Patagonia motorcycle tour Nov 30 and flying to BA. I know the Argentine Open Polo Tourney is going on then. Does anyone know if they play anywhere else other than Palermo? Do they play during the week, or just week-ends? Can tickets be had for the Palermo stadium at the gate, or do we need to purchase in advance, and if so, where?
Thanks in advance.
Matt

They play only in Palermo.
There're matches on week-days
I suppose you need to buy in advance only for final game, but I don't know where. I'll try to get the info and inform to you.

Travel Tips for Buenos Aires
Wandering around Buenos Aires
by Shakermaker
One thing i like to do a lot is to wander around the city, not only this city but all of them.
In Buenos Aires if you go for a walk you can run into any kind of situation and that ideal for tourists since it will make you feel more like a local.....a very nice place to go for a walk is in Palermo between Avenida del Libertador and Figueroa Alcorta or to the other side (Santa Fe).

This is a part of the bosque de Palermo. Palermo is really big, you have lots of trees and also a lake! You can see more pic's at my travelogue!

THE BOTANIC GARDEN HAS SOMETHING SPECIAL
by RafaelTheSecond
If you really like cats there is a place in Buenos Aires where you can have a blast, I personally go there because of them, the first time I was attacked by one, becuase for sure he was in a bad moody, but it was years and years ago. this time I met a friendly one, he stayed with me for a long while during my visit through the pleasant park.

Yes there is a kind of beach in Buenos Aires!
by ptitetoile
Buenos Aires is a harbour city...so it is not really a balnear city...but hidden at the far end of the Reserva Ecológica Costanera Sur, you will find a quite nice coast with trees and a palm tree... of course, you may not want to swin in the brown Rio de la Plata (if fact it is forbidden by the park guardians) but you can rest a bit in the sun...after a nice walk in the green...it is already something! Especially if you want to breath some fresher air than downtown :-)

Maquiavelo: caf? bar restaurant. In tiers. Stylish coffee shop.
Across the street, among other restaurants Parillada Chiliquilinj. CD stores and a Book Store. If you walk through the paseo, you could cross the street and arrive at a Botanica selling all sorts of remedies, incense and saintly objects..
