Hotel Dora - Mid Budget Hotel
I was looking for a hotel that was around USD$50 per night to stay in for my rugby tour trip and found Hotel Dora. The lobby is quite austere and looks like elegance in yesteryear but the rooms are really not the best. The thing that surprised me the most was the single bed in my room! Never have I stayed in a hotel with a single bed before. It wasn't a particularly comfortable bed either and too short! Oh well...
Unique Quality: Breakfast was included in the room charge.
The hotel is quite well located close to Florida Street.

argentina: What are prices like?
Whats the cost of bus rides, hostels, meals, etc, in Argentina right now? I have read that it is cheap like 3 to 1 US dollars. Are airline flights cheap as well? Plan on going there in feb-mar, know its a way off but am leaving for SA in two weeks. Any info helpful. Thanks.

airfares to buenos aires from north america has plummeted, it is slightly over 300 usd from miami roundtrip, less than 600 usd from west coast. cheaper fares from europe as well.
hotels, because the us dollar is nearly 3 .60 arg pesos, eveything is cheaper, exceptional value.
hotel dora four stars in the centre of town 70 arg pesos
a gourmet meal at la bodeguita, 15 pesos, vintage wine, 22 pesos etc..
within the country the airfares are comparatively very cheap, so are the aerolineas argentinas flights to nearby countries such as chile and brazil.
within the country salta round trip from buenos aires just over 100 usd. 150 round trip including taxes to santiago de chile.
for the quality which is on par with europe, you cannot choose a better location than argentina at this moment. feb and mar the weather would also be good all over the country including tierra del fuego.
