We spent 6 nights at this hotel and totally enjoyed it. When staying is BsAs you have two types of locations from which to choose. You can stay in Recoleta, which is definitely one of the nicest neighborhoods in the city, or you can stay in the downtown area. While Recoleta is nice, it is somewhat isolated (except for being near the cemetery) and so most of the sights are unwalkable. There is no subway line in Recoleta. Downtown if far more to our liking, but if you stay at the Hilton or Marriott it is quite expensive and a long hike to the Plaza de Mayo, and really far from San Telmo. The Cambremon is quite near the Plaza, relatively close to Florida St, and within walking distance of San Telmo. It is simply a great location. The hotel is relatively small. I think it has 7 floors with 7 rooms per floor. The rooms on the front side face the street and are relatively noisy. There are 3 rooms on each floor that face the back and these are absolutely quiet, though the view out the window is nothing to look at. The breakfast is outstanding. It is complete with scrambled eggs, desserts, and local savory and sweet treats as well as the usual Continental fare. The rooms are spacious enough, though not huge. The lobby is very nice and has 3 computers with high speed internet for guests. The staff is friendly, though not overly so. If you email them you will deal with Claudio, and he is extremely attentive and helpful, but not part of the front desk staff.
