This hotel has several good and bad characteristics. I'll begin with the good. This hotel was very affordable for my friend and I. We paid 65 pesos/night, which ended up being about US$22/night. We had a private bathroom which was clean and functional, if a bit small. If you haven't traveled to South America before, be forewarned...there is no shower area. There is just a shower head on the wall. There was plenty of hot water to shower in though, so it wasn't a problem. The hotel was safe (everyone has to be buzzed in the front desk clerk) and clean. Breakfast was included in the price and consisted of nice pastries and delicious coffee. One of the best features of the hotel was its location, which is in Microcenter. From here, you can walk each day to a different barrio of the city and the front desk has good maps.
A few bad things...the hotel lost our reservation. We arrived at midnight and they didn't have a room for 2. They ended up giving us a room for 4 for the same price as a 2-person room, so it wasn't a problem. Just make sure you call in a day ahead to confirm reservations. Also, the woman at the front desk was not very kind or helpful. People who speak (or have a working knowledge of) Spanish might not run into this problem.
All in all, this was a great place to stay...clean, comfortable, safe, and inexpensive. I would definitely recommend it!
