walking around Buenos Aires
by Bulgaria11
Buenos Aires is very lovely city and people are very friendly and helpfull.
The things that I love about Buenos Aires is that the lay out of the city, it is so easy for tourist to walk around and find the tourist attraction on their own.
The city have many park and seating area, the cafe is everywhere.
4 - 5 Star restaurant will only open for dinner from 8 pm, so if you want to dine earlier , you might consider to go to cafe.
Currently one US dollars = 3.05 Peso argentina.
If you have time please visit their Farm where you can meet the real cowboy and taste a real Argentina BBQ cowboy way. Trip to La Boca, what a colorfull place that was.
And to have dinner at one of the most famous tango club in Buenos Aires (senior Tango) absolutely wonderfull experience.

Some grocery products have strange names
by b1bob
Like I said earlier, going shopping for groceries in a foreign country is an educational experience. There were baked goods with the brand name Bimbo. That was funny because, in American English, "bimbo" means a loose woman. I'll bet folks were wondering about this "gringo loco" breaking into uproarious laughter about a loaf of bread.
Embassy Saga
by Assenczo
This is site I came across spontaneously. I was not prompted - it just happened. I do not know the details (yet) but it seems that this was the place where once the Israeli Embassy stood. Instead of obliterating the history by building new "filler" (mind you these BA fillers are quite the masterpieces) there is a deliberate attempt to save the memory of a terrifying experience. Comments, especially from "insiders" are welcome, so I can sift reality from fiction and truth from propaganda.
Duty Free Shopping
by tini58de
When I passed through the passport control of the international airport of Buenos Aires, I could not believe my eyes:
okay, I have seen many duty free shopping areas in airports, but this was something else!! The duty free area is like a big shopping mall, one counter next to the other with sweets, perfume, well, the typical things to buy at an airport! Just the way it is presented, was truly amazing!!!
