Hi; i never heard about the GIC but i tend to post such extra advise in case it will (perhaps) help you to understand the way how to learn; i think/beleive that spanish is one of the most languages that you may learn in a short time let's say a limited time.the grammer is not that big deal you need to learn the vocabulry and the second things which is must;is to try the possible to comunicate with spanish speackers. i know poeple who never studied the language and they write/talk it fluently; i found out that while i traveled in north africa.
well!! i don't know if that's really help but let's puted under 'extra info' or under the barr ( DO YOU KNOW???).

Hi,
I havent heard from that school either, but there are so many options that I decided to attend UBA when I was there as it was safer option and not that expensive, anyway I did private lessons when i realised that group lessons were not going to make me improve fast because nobody corrected me on time and i was spending my time. I took spanish lessons with a fantastic teacher she teaches groups and one on one is very professional and experienced and she knows exactly what to teach you to make you learning faster and in more effective way, her website is www.giselagiunti.com
I can highly recoomend her services, she also organizes history lessons for all students and some other activities.
cheers

Hi,
I haven´t hear about GIC either, but I can recommend you Verbum school in Buenos Aires. I have studied there for 3 months and I was very happy with my course and host-family.
The staff is very helpful and they also offer free extra activities every week.
Enjoy your travel!

Travel Tips for Buenos Aires
El Vino
by leok
Over recent years Argentinian wine has left behind its reputation of poor quality and now commands high prices around the world.
Current economic problems mean you have the chance to try out some of the top bottles at great prices. Even the most basic parilla will often have a decent wine menu so there's plenty of opportunity to experiment.
Red Malbecs are generally very good and even some of the cheaper bottles go down all to easily.
Dulce de leche
by PierreZA
Could be translated as "sweet milk". You will come across this decadent sweet conserve in one or other form. It might be ice-cream, chocolate covered sweets, just as it is, liquer etc.
It is very sweet, and made of milk, sugar and vanilla.

by adri_rios about Club Lounge
A great place, with live music from Tuesday to Saturday nights, plus happy-hours on Wednesdays and Fridays which also include a live band, usually playing brazilian rhythms! I especilly love the variety of the musical selection and the friendly service and atmosphere.
Wednesday 3 Oct. Jorge Cutello Brazilian Jazz 9pm
Thrursday 4 Oct. Jorgelina Aleman Jazz 9pm
Friday 5 Oct Esteban Morgado/Leo Sujatovich Tango 10pm
Saturday 6 Oct "Bar Trio" (Astarita-Baraj-Remus) Jazz 10pm Informal, but nice
