Very near Plaza de Mayo

I stayed here in mid-2004 when I was in BA for business. It is an excellent hotel. Not cheap but not expensive either. The room was large and excellently furnished. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Unique Quality: Free breakfast was excellent.
The rooms were very well appointed.

NH City

- Good quality in rooms, very nice and helpfull staff, good buffet breakfast, mini bar service, hair dryer, safe box, amenity kit.

- Business Center is small (only 2 computers and usually there is a queue of people waiting)

- Pool Area is small

Unique Quality: Very close to:
- Buenos Aires Cathedral (1 block)
-Casa Rosada (House of Government) (2 blocks)
-Shopping district (2 blocks)

Close to:
-San Telmo fair
- Puerto Madero

Beautiful Hotel in Financial District

If you have ever fantasized about living in New York in the forties, but with updated everything, this hotel is for you. It is in a building constructed in 1938, but everything is new and stylish, designed to complement the beauty of the classic building.

I did not stay here, but visited it while looking for a hotel. The room I saw had a king sized bed and beautiful wood floors. I would seriously consider it for my next visit. It is in the financial district, close to Plaza de Mayo. Gorgeous design!

Hotel question

I want to stay near the intersection of 9 de Julio and Avenida de Mayo. What hotels are around there and which ones are nice? I'm not worried about price. I looked into the Four Seasons but it is further north up 9 de Julio and on a side street (from what I could tell). However, it may be the closest nice hotel I can find. Can anyone advise?

That is really far down 9 de Julio, and the only upscale hotels that I know of in that area (Monserrat) would be the Intercontinental and the NH City Hotel both are listed as 5 star but not at the level of The Four Seasons or some of the other 5 Star hotels in Buenos Aires. The Four Seasons is located in a very nice area, La Recoleta and would be about a 10 minute taxi ride to your desired area.
