Comfortable, great service

My partner and I stayed at this hotel last March - and I must say we were very pleased with the experience... First of all, the rate was a total deal - we got 7 nights for the price of 5 under one of their packages, with breakfast and transfers back to the Ezeiza airport included. Room rates started at $58 (US dollars) a night (plus VAT) at the time and have remained stable.

The room was comfortable and very, very clean. The amenities are probably what you'd get in a 3+ stars hotel in the US. There's a mini fridge in the room with various drinks in it (which you can actually empty out and use to cool your own drinks bought outside, which would be cheaper). Our room was on the backside of the hotel so it was also very quiet (street rooms may be more noisy). The marble bathroom was very well appointed, if a bit small, and the amenities were first class.

The restaurant downstairs is ok, but nothing to write home about. Definitely better to go out for a meal, although the buffet breakfast (included in the rate) will get you going for your morning of sightseeing.

Service was great, young crowd at the front desk, all spoke english and very helpful.

The location was central in relation to Recoleta - however a bit more of a hike to the downtown attractions (Plaza de Mayo, etc). The subway D line has a stop about 5 blocks away though (Pueyrredon station, at Avenida Santa Fe). It's more of a local neighborhood, so there's plenty of little shops reasonably priced (convenience store in the corner, laundry around the corner, pharmacy across the street, etc)

All in all a good location if you don't mind being a few blocks out of downtown

Unique Quality: Service was great, a 3 block walk to the Recoleta cemetery and all its restaurants, bars, movie theatres, etc. Local color.

Hi all, can anyone help with ideas of accommodation in Buenos Aires. We are a family of 5 travelling to BA near the end of October. Nothing too over the top just neat and clean and preferably centrally located. Thanks

Do you want a hostel or a hotel?

Have you considered an apartment rental? You can normally find some decent deals on apartments and would offer some more flexibility. If you want central then concentrate on Barrio Norte or the Recoleta districts.

If you want to stick with a hotel, not sure what your price range is but the Bel Air on Arenales is very nice and about $150 USD a night, Kempinski Hotel Park Elegance at about $125 a night, Hotel Plaza Francia which should be around $100 US a night, Wilton Hotel at about the same price, at under $100 there is Apart Recoleta on Guido.

You can check all these and others at trip advisor

Hope this helps
