Regis Hotel is an older place, which is obvious from the rather worn look to the rooms. The hotel is nothing special (but not terrible either). The location however, cannot be beat. It's situated on the pedestrian only Lavalle street, which is packed with shops, restaurants, theaters etc. A very short walk takes you to Florida street, another pedestrian street with more shopping, eating and such. Street performers often put on shows in this area.
