Palermo SoHo / Palermo Hollywood

by texasdago

The last time we went to BsAs, we never really made it to Palermo... yet, everything I read about the area makes it sound like a great location to stay in and visit. What do you think? I'm doing some digging and finding a few nice places like the BoBo Hotel (http://www.bobohotel.com/english/index.html), Solar Soler (http://www.solarsoler.com.ar/web_index.php).

Any other recommendations in the area?

I am going to BA in the end of December. Concidering to stay in B/B. Does anone can suggest which one is prefered in terms of service, quality and location. First one is Palermo House in Palermo Vieja, the second one DomusBA also in Palerm Viejo (has a pool) and third is Solar Soler in palerm Holywood.
Your advice is important. Thanks, Sam.

Hola!
First, thank you all for the answers at my questions before here under "Buenos Aires"!
I have one more question: Are there someone that knows a nice and affordable hotel near Palermo? I´m going to BA in the end of September and are going to stay a few nights in a hotel and after at a hostel.

Regards

Marlene

HI Marlene,
How much more or less would be for you a reasonably priced hotel?

Hi!
I can pay up to 50 euros/night. I´ve heard you can get a quite good hotel/room for not that much money in BA.

Thanks!

Hi Marlene,

Yes you are right, its true that you can get a quite good hotel roon for that price in BA, unfortunately the only hotels i know in Palermo are a bit more expensive (65-70 Eur). Unless a B&B is ok for you. I heard about a few nice ones, so I can ask a friend of mine about them if you want.
Anyhow, if you want to take a look at these hoteles here are the websites:

- Five Buenos Aires (www.fivebuenosaires.com.ar)
- Bobo Hotel (www.bobohotel.com)

Can I ask you something ...? why Palermo?

Cheers,
Mac

Merlene,

Me again ... someone told me about Hotel Alpino in Palermo (not Palermo Viejo), its says its a 3* hotel, though Im not sure who gave those stars :). Anyhow this friend of mine told me its a very clean hotel, and for sure its localted in a good neighbourhood. The price for a double room is 45Eur
(http://www.hotel-alpino.com.ar)

In Palermo Viejo you can try the "Solar Soler" B&B. Double room: 40Eur
(http://www.solarsoler.com.ar/web_index.php)

Good luck!
Mac
