First of all, you have to know...
by Yayito
First of all, you have to know that Buenos Aires is a very big city. Perhaps more bigger than you ever imagine it. You could start visiting the 'centro' with its monuments (Cabildo, Casa Rosada, obelisco, and more), places like La Boca, Puerto Madero, Recoleta.
The only way to taste this is living the city. Each time a day, Buenos Aires is different. The key is to discover all these places and enjoy them.

Dog walkers
by wadekorzan
In many parts of the city, you will see people walking groups of up to 20 dogs! These are the infamous dogwalkers of Buenos Aires. Dogs are a popular pet here in the city, and as most people live in apartments, the dogs have to be taken out on a regular basis. Dog walkers have the job of doing this while people work. They have to walk the dogs twice each day, rain or shine, and of course keep the dogs under some kind of orderly control. It is amazing that the dogs form a hierarchy amongst themselves, and sometimes you will see the whole group sitting outisde together waiting for their dogwalker....
Salaries in Argentina can be rather low acording to western standards, but be assured that dog walkers make quite a good living!

Gracias Cicerone Daniel..!!
ESO Y MAS MERECE EL INVASOR.!!!

Alto Palermo Shopping
by Constanza about Alto Palermo Shopping
Opened in 1990, Alto Palermo is the main shopping centre in the city. Its daring architectural design, awarded by the International Council of Shopping Centers, re-creates a four-cornered structure with a mirror-like exterior that reflects the buildings in Santa Fe Avenue and Coronel Díaz Street. It has three storeys, decorated in marble, ceramic tiles and fine wood, housing more than 180 shops, a dining area for 750 people, a cyber-café and a roofed parking lot for 700 cars.
The fun fair is a good option for youngsters and children. The two movie theatres at the premises offer special prices for children under 12 (ARA4 for any show); the regular admission fee is ARA7.
Other entertaining activities are musical performances, shows and beauty centres for women.
