Hotel Benevento: Comfortable mid-rate hotel

My second visit was for business and the local company made all my arrangements. The Hotel Benevento was a convenient location for the commute to Ensenada (just north of La Plata). The hotel is one of the larger ones in the town, but it may not look as such from the outside. But there are few other options in La Plata and no major chain hotels.

The hotel is listed as a historic building since it was built in 1915. The inside is old, but not completely run down. There are some idiosyncratic things about the hotel such as creaky floor boards, the hot water may take a few minutes, the door locks are old skeleton keys, the remote for the TV may or may not work, etc.

But the hotel is clean and comfortable enough. The beds are a bit springy, but I still managed to get a good night sleep. The staff were also friendly and helpful.

Unique Quality: The hotel offers free cold buffet breakfast with toast, jams, fruit, cereals, etc.

The rooms have free WiFi with a password and central A/C.
