Another pleasant university to wander around is the National University Of Cordoba (conveniently next door to the National College of Monserat).
There are guided tours at regular intervals through the course of the day, but you can also feel free to have a look around the courtyard at your leisure.
It is worth noting that you can look around the colleges at any time - a useful way to fill in the middle of the day, when the churches are closed (and go to the Jesuit's Crypt of Antique Novitiate while you are at it!)
