Train Travel

I would like to travel from Buenos Aires to Bariloche by train in March. My prefered travel dates are the 6th, 7th or 8th.
So the question is has anyone done this or know how I might arrange it?

Ferrovias is just one of the suburban train operators...
Ferrobaires is the one for long distances within BA province...
The issue is that you have to change trains... You have to go to Carmen de Patagones first, cross a bridge to Viedma, and from there take another train to Bariloche...
As BA-CdP has 1 or 2 services per week, you will have to go for BA-Bahia Blanca, then catch a bus to Viedma...
So... check this websites:

Oh... if I were you, I would take the bus from BA to Viedma, an just then take the train... You will save LOTS of your time...

San Carlos de Bariloche is located at Nahuel Huapi National Park. It is one of the most beautiful places I ever been.
San Carlos de Bariloche está situado en el Parque Nacional Nahuel Huapi. Es uno de los más hermosos lugares en los que estuve. Cerro Tronador and its black snowdrift. Breathtaking! (More pictures: see travelogue).
Cerro Tronador y su ventisquero negro. ¡Impresionante! (Más fotos en el travelogue).
Church of Our Lady of Nahuel Huapi

Simply astonishing. It's also known as the "Iglesia de Piedra" (Stone Church), since the church's walls are all made of stone (no comment on that acclaration...).
Anyhow, the church is amazingly beautiful, and the vitreaux inside show some history of the jesuists in South America.
San Carlos De Bariloche!

"WOW"
I was told by a number of friends that I could not pass up the opportunity to visit San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina, or just Bariloche. It is amazing. Extremely beautiful. I've never been to the Alps, not even the Rocky Mountains, so I don't have much to compare it to, but it is very very beautiful. I don't really have very much to say in regards to trip planning. I recommend that you visit Cerro Tronador, and maybe take one of the many tours that are offered. I went in November (spring) and so there wasn't any skiing, which was unfortunate, because I would have loved to ski there. This page will probably mostly consist of photos, since I think they really speak for themselves.
