Cerro Catedral!!!!
by perfectly_zen
Yep, if i had to choose a favorite thing in bariloche, I?d choose Cerro Catedral...
I went to Bariloche twice....at the first time we went there but it was foggy, so we couldn?t see much. But in this second time...oh my! I was thrilled...you can see a chain of gourgeus mountains, covered with snow in the top, and looking below, a green valley and a river...
If the weather is good, you can even see the Vulcano Pontiagudo, located in Chile. And in the horizon, a white, rocky wall: the Andes.

Cerro Catedral is the most important ski center in the southern hemisphere. You get to it by driving along Avenida Bustillo to km 8, from where you turn left toward Centro de Salmonicultura -a trout hatchery- and through Villa Catedral to the base of Catedral mountain at 1,000 meters above sea level.
Whether to ski or simply to enjoy the breathtaking view from the top, Catedral offers a wide range of services and lifts.
"A ski classic"
With 67 km of groomed ski trails including a variety of styles and levels of difficulty... Catedral is the skier's paradise and the observer's delight

San Carlos de Bariloche is a city placed inside the Nahuel Huapi National Park. Because of that the scenery has an overwelming beauty. There are lots of lakes, rivers and waterfalls, formed from ancient glaciers. Tha main lake is the Nahuel Huapi, and is possible to take vessels that make diferent routes, in fact is possible to make the pass to Chile trough these boats reaching Puerto Montt, on the other side of the Andes. By winter is one of the main ski resorts of Argentina.
Bariloche main activity used to be only the tourism, and mostly in winter, but nowadays it has evolved to a bigger city than before. You can find lots of new activities, and you can also study (engineering at the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo, and other carreers in the Universidad Nacional del Comahue).
