by LADtravels

Hello everyone

I note from my research that I can take a bus from La Paz to Arequipa but everyone is saying how long it is... does anyone know of any other options?

Thanks

What does that have to do with Bariloche!?

Well... I don't remember seeing any bus from La Paz to Arequipa, but I'm sure you can take one to the border or Puno/Juliaca... and from there transfer to another bus to Arequipa or La Paz.

Travel Tips for San Carlos de Bariloche

Look up for condores!

by luzmaria

no, thats not the local custom, but look up in case theres one flying above you, cos they re the few last of these local animals that live in Bariloche and the Cordillera... The condor andino (aka Vultur gryphus).

When I went up the Cerro Lopez to Pico Turista, we got to see a couple of these beautiful birds now almost extint...

The length from one tip of their wings to the other can be up to 3 metres.

Cerro Tronador - Ventisquero Negro

by elpariente

We are used to think that the glaciers are white or of brilliant blues , but here we are looking one completely black due to the sediments
It receives the ice that breaks from the Cerro Tronador glaciers and finish in the Manso river

Bariloche, adventure and relax

by PaulaT

"The city"

Bariloche is a beautifull city lacated in teh souns west of Argentina, in Rio Negro Province. This city is one of the most important tourist places in summer and winter because adventure tourism activities as Fishing, Trekking, Horse Rides, Sailing, Sky, Snow Board. Etc. In the picture you can see the Nahuel Huapi lake taking from the hotel the I staied in.
You have a lot of options during the day and discos, pubs to go at nigth.

"The hotel"

Cabañas Soñador is a nice hotel, just a few minutes from the centre and very close to the sky area, just one block from the lake. I liked very much to stay there.
