Staying at the Llao-Llao Hotel is an experience by itself. This amazing hotel is built on a hill overlooking two lakes in the most scenic location in the northern Patagonia. The interior is exquisitely decorated offering all kind of services to their guests.
The hotel will experience and expansion and its golf course will renovate their greens during 2005 and early 2006.
Unique Quality: Member of the Leading Hotels of the World chain. Service and facilities are superb. Views are incredible. Food is great at its fine restaurant. The golf course is very fun, short with incredible views. This hotel worths every dollar you can spend to stay there.

It's a five star hotel we had the extravaganza to take for 2 days,as the excitement was stronger than the financial issues,besides,it worths any cent!
Unique Quality: The price included a wonderful breakfast buffet,that could be as a lunch for me,the rooms are great,with an outstanding view of the Nahuel Huapi lake.
It has a beautiful lobby,fireplaces,wine bar,restaurants,etc..

HOTEL LLAO LLAO.
I know this is an expensive one, I don´t recommend this kind of hotels often but for those who can pay for it, it´s great!
It costs a lot, but maybe you can afford it with the actual change Great exclusive Hotel,Resort, Spa, Golf and everything.
The Hotel Llao Llao (pronounced Zhow Zhow) is a magical place, perched on a hill over Lake Nahuel Huapi, near San Carlos de Bariloche
I don't recall the specific prices, but I recall that they were pleasantly low compared to large cities. We also went in April, which is the 'in-between' season, approaching Autumn in South America. Simply a very grand place in a very grand location
The spectacular Llao Llao resort is about 26 km from Bariloche, but well worth the drive to at least look at even if you don't stay there. On the afternoon in November 2001 we took the Circuito Chico tour, we went there for a photo session. Regrettably, it was getting late in the day so the light was not great. We had also had dinner there on our first night in town. Scenery and facilities.
This place is not just the backpacker's favourite, but if you want to experience luxury for one night, than stay at the Llao Llao Hotel some 25 km west of Bariloche. It's really not cheap. A night is at least around 200 US$ per room, but if you can afford it, we can recommend it.
Itýs a good option for those who donýt mind staying 15 min away (walking) from the center, and without a view to Nahuel Huapi.
Itýs a big house, with kitchen, private bathroom, parking place, and a good service...the woman usually clean the room and make up the beds....
In november, it was costing 10 pesos, without breakfast (more 2 pesos). The place is very clean, the owner is a very nice old lady...you?ll fell yourself in grandma?s house....

I'm planning a future golf trip to Bariloche. I'll be staying/golfing at the Llao Llao resort. Can anyones tell me if there are other golf courses in the area?
What months of the year is the lake warm enough to swim in? Thanks for the info.
Hi VT friend: the only months when you have to swin in the lake is in summer, january and frebuary.....The best golf in this area is the LlaoLlao Resort, is the best place there, then you have another one in Villa La Angostura but is far from there.....For me Llao Llao is the best.......
You can play golf at Cumelen C.C. in Villa La Angostura, about 60 miles from Bariloche. Next year the first Nicklaus design course in South America will open in San Martin de los Andes, about 3 hs. north in Neuquen. The golf course is under construction now with 10 holes already seeded. Check www.chapelcogolf.com for details. It will be the best in the Patagonia.
