Tres Reyes Hotel San Carlos Bariloche

Great location, friendly staff, good breakfast

We stayed 5 nights here. This hotel has rooms with a view out over the lake, and rooms with a view out over a garden type setting in the reatr. The lake rooms are more expensive and are noisy. Take the garden rooms--you won't look out at the lake that much anyhow, and the back view is certainly pleasant enough and a whole lot quieter. We moved to the garden room after 2 nights. Both types of rooms are the same size which is adequate but not spacious. The staff here is outstanding. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The location can't be beaten for the price. Breakfast is rather unique in that they will prepare an omelet or eggs for you as you like them at no additional charge. However, they don't advertise this, and you just have to ask the server. They have off street parking, but is rather inconvenient. You have to pull up to the gate on a nearby street, get out of your car and ring the buzzer, tell the desk you are at the gate, and they then dispense a bellhop to come to the gate and manually unlock the gate to let you in. This can be a rather long wait depending on how busy they are at the time. But all in all, this was a very good experience, though the computers for guests were somewhat unpredictable. They have three, but when all three are in use, they seem to slow down quite a bit.
