Salta, the biggest city in the Northwest of Argentina is quite an important regional centre. It is a typical foundation of the Spanish colonists and the first Spanish settlers came over the Andes. Buenos Aires was at thsi time small to almost non-existing.
Salta is also called the City of Eternal Spring. Due to its altitude of 1200 meters irt has a very pleasant climate all the year round
