Study Spanish in Salta
by kfredson
I had an excellent Spanish teacher in Salta, who helped me make real strides in my speaking and understanding. There is no formal Spanish school here but with Ivana it is possible to begin at any level and end up quite comfortable in the language....and to do it in an incredible corner of South America.

SALTA
by Laerke
Salta wasnt really a part of my trip to South America after Id spent about 1 week in Venezuela and 3 weeks in Brazil, thinking that my ticket home to Spain would expire.
Then I found out, I would be able to travel another month, so I happily continued to Iguazu, Argentina, Bolivia and back to Brazil. I couldnt get enough!
I found that Salta was so different from what Id already seen and experienced.
First I did a one day trip to Cafayate, Quebrada de Humahuaca (the most beautiful mountains ever, in so many shapes and colours) and Cachi arranged by Backpackers Hostel. (www.backpackerssalta.com)
Then I went on a "Tren de las nubes" tour in one of their mini busses. Bacially an alternative way of taking the famous "train ride to the clouds" (at the highest altitude ever for a train to pass).
The bus meet with the train several of times on its route, its cheaper and includes visits at Salinas Grandes (a salt desert) and Pumamarca village (more beautiful coloured mountains) where I got off to spend the night before continueing to Bolivia. Everybody else in the bus went back to the hostel....
All I have left to say, is that I hope to return to do a longer stay one day.
