Best hotel in town.

Posada Los Alamos is for most people, your best choice to stay in El Calafate. Currently a 4-star hotel but with the opening of the spa, indoor pools, convention center, mini golf course and other new facilities, this hotel will acquire 5-stars soon. We spent 2 great nights there with the cordial and personalized attention of the owner and general manager. The place is so welcoming and cozy that we decided to have dinner both nights at its restaurant which, by the way, it is considered the best in town.

Unique Quality: Nice comfortable rooms, great service, excellent breakfast. New facilities are top class. Great location just 2 blocks from main street.

Hotel Posada los Alamos

Los Alamos opened in 1984. By then, it only had 11 rooms. In the next four years, our growth was driven by the will of offering our passengers more and better services. 55 new rooms were built, among which there are 2 suites. The El Aljibe breakfast room was built together with a new Reception area. Our staff's kindness and warmth have always been a must. In the following years we grew steadily, by expanding the comfort and services offered. Our infrastructure grew at the same pace. Nowadays, Los Alamos has 144 rooms that offer our passengers unforgettable moments in the midst of a warm and kind environment in the best landscape on Earth.

La Posta was born in 1985 as a restaurant and grill for 130 diners. Its service is one of the best in the area. Its creator, Héctor Mario Guatti, an engineer, would show his play "Magia del Ventisquero Moreno" (Magic at the Moreno Glaciar) to entertain guests. In 1988 the number of diners increased to 200. The characteristic style of the local dishes was maintained, and it became one of the best alternatives in the area. In the coming years the place continues to grow, thus offering more comfort through different renovations for a larger number of diners, that is, 230.
