What will be the most likely weather in February? When is the rainy season?
February should see the weather as good as it gets in El Calafate - it's still summer. You're a long way south though, so daily average temps are in the low 60s and nights in the 40s - that means you could hit 70 but equally a chilly wind could bring daytime temps down into the 50s so don't leave all the woollies at home and bring a windproof jacket as the winds that come off the glaciers are freezing at any time of the year. It's an area of very little rainfall with quite possibly none at all in February - all in all, one of the best months of the year to visit.
The highlight is the Perito Moreno Glacier. There are a number of hiking roads that take off around the Glacier. You can enjoy scenery, and often get glimpses of the amazing glacier from different angles and vantage points. definitely plan to span a few extra hours exploring the surroundings when you visit. I would actually recommend spending the whole day in the park.
Each and every shop and restaurant along the main street have a very special decoration: billboards, frontages, even the sidewalks, compete to be the most original and attractive place.

Our group was integrated by four "expert" riders: an Argentinian young girl, a French couple, and the Uruguayan amazon who is writting these lines; the baqueano was Martín (he is not only a real rider; he is a showman!) Our horses were "Tigre", "Luna", "22" and "Petunia"; Martín's mare was called "Norma" (as his ex-wife!). For me, the most difficult activity is to "climb" the horse: I am really short, so the stirrup is almost inacessible for me! After that, everything was a piece of cake! The horses always go behind the baqueano, so you just follow him!
Nuestro grupo estaba integrada por cuatro "expertos" jinetes: una chica argentina, una pareja francesa y la amazona uruguaya que escribe estas líneas; el baqueano era Martín (no sólo es un verdadero jinete; es un showman!) Nuestros caballos eran "Tigre", "Luna", "22" y "Petunia"; la yegua de Martín se llamaba "Norma" (como su ex-mujer!). Para mí, lo más difícil es "treparme" al caballo; yo soy realmente baja, y el estribo me resulta casi inaccesible! Luego de ello, todo marchó sobre ruedas! Los caballos siempre van tras el baqueano, así que sólo hay que seguirlo! A hot bath after riding.

This is the restaurant of Sierra Nevada Hostel; it is a small place, cozy, with a nice staff, and a large picture window with a spectacular sight; they only dish up dinners. As it gets dark very late during summertime (about 10:30 - 11:00 PM), you can have your dinner with a beautiful dusk.

Como anochece muy tarde durante el verano (alrededor de 22:30 ó 23:00 horas), pueden cenar con un hermoso atardecer. I had dinner three times there, and every meal was great; I especially recommend the grillé chicken with potatoe millefeuille, and the loin with mushrooms sauce.
Cené tres veces allí, y cada plato estuvo muy bueno; recomiendo especialmente el pollo grillé con milhojas de papa y el lomo con salsa de hongos.
Navigation, is approximately of one hour, in front of the South wall of the Perito Moreno Glacier, there you will be able to contemplate the greatness of this glacier, and if you are lucky, you can be present the fall of some piece, the noise that it generates is impressive like the sound of a great thunderclap
