Albergue Patagonia: Great hostel in El Chalten
Definitely recommended! Friendly and helpful hostel family who makes everyone feel at home. Small hostel but with enough space in living room and dining area. The relaxed cozy atmosphere encourages mixing.
Unique Quality: Friendly owners with lots of information about what to do in the park. Outstanding hot showers..God's gift to the hostel-dweller!!

America del Sur: Staying in El Calafate
This was our inagural hostel stay, and certainly won't be our last. A great place, located just outside of "downtown" El Calafate.
Unique Quality: Great staff. Books all excursions. Private rooms and baths. Breakfast included. Heated floors. Cheap internet.

camino abierto camp sites: Fitz Roy camping
Have never camped before. Used a local trip organiser Caminoabierto.com.ar who have igloo tents errected with sleeping bags and liners. Also a food tent with a chef providing three meals a day (a boxed lunch) facilities basic ie toilet and no showers/sinks etc but plenty of glacial water. Enjoyed the experience and will do again. stayed at Capri Lagoon two nights and one night Laguna Torre
Unique Quality: Felt more at one with nature, could use the campsite as a base for the treks

Los Notros: The best place
Unique Quality: I did not stay there (I was at El Calafate, the nearer town), but "Los Notros" is really famous for the high quality of the services and the beauty of the place.
I took the picture from the website (wich is really good).
No me alojé allí (yo estaba en El Clafate, el pueblo más cercano), pero "Los Notros" es realmente famoso por la calidad de sus servicios y la belleza del lugar.
Bajé la foto del sitio web (la cual es realmente bueno).

Unique Quality: There are several campgrounds inside the National Park (I did not stay there); some of them have no services at all, but some others have cabooses, tables, bathrooms, hot water, store, firewood, fishing areas, telephone and restaurant. Check the website for more info and rates.
The beauty of the landscape is for free.
