I live in Buenos Aires so I can give you information on how to travel from Buenos Aires to Iguazu for you to form an approximate idea. Buses from here take 18 hours and cost about 90.00 pesos / 32.00 US$. There are neither flights nor trains from Rosario and I believe there are no direct buses. Buenos Aires-Mendoza takes 14 hours and costs about 105.00 pesos / 37.00 US$. Same route by plane costs 300.00 pesos / 105.00 US$.

Thanks for the info. Is that roundtrip airfare because I need to return as well. If it is round trip it will be much better for me to go by plane.
Thanks again

I forgot to say that it is a one-way fare. Return fare is 600.00 pesos.

Travel Tips for Rosario

Rosario Argentina

by jporta

"Rosario, Argentina"

This is off the beaten track for most travelers to Argentina, but worth the detor. The city is on the river and has a wonderful creol feeling. It is really hot and super humid in the summer with mosquitos the size of small airplanes. Bring OFF if you go in the summer. You can visit some of the islands in the river where locals have asados on the weekend. There are also many nice bars and a busy nightlife. I think it is safer than BA and has a more small town feel eventhough it rivals Cordova for Argentinia's second largest city. The down side of this city is the traffic and smog. The busses put off such pollution that just walking along the street during the summer is a bummer. There is also a lot of noise pollution here.
