La Ernestina: amazing estancia
This was a two night splurge on a three week trip, although the lodgings themselves weren't at all fancy. La Ernestina is a 14,000 hectacre ranch, on Punta Norte, on Peninsuala Valdes.
Everything is included: food, drinks (including an open bar), and excursions.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, but book well in advance. (Six months is NOT too early.)
Unique Quality: Although the rooms are very nice, and the food is quite good, the draw for staying here is the location. There is a penguin colony located on this sheep ranch, as well as a sea lion colony, and amazing views of the sea.
You can only access this part of the peninsuala if you are staying here and have a guide.
