Hotel Albatros

Our Antarctica trip included one night in the Albatross Hotel in Ushuaia. The hotel is in a great location on Maipu street, opposite the port, and offers excellent views of the harbour. after 3 months of hostels and cheap hotels it was quiet nice to stay in a 4 star hotel. The hotel had a lovely lounge area and also offered free Internet access (very useful in Ushuaia where Internet connections are expensive).

Our room was nice. We had a good view of the harbour, cable TV comfortable beds and a large bathroom. The breakfast in Albatross was also good though clearly aimed at foreign visitors as no Argentinian eats this big a breakfast. All in all I was impressed by Albatross but had it not been part of our excursion we would probably not have chosen it.

Unique Quality: My hotel room was really comfortable, with a good taste decoration; the bathroom was also nice and complete (even it had hair dryer).

Mi habitación era realmente confortable, con una decoración de buen gusto; el baño también era agradable y completo (incluso tenía secador de cabello).

Hotel Albatros is situated at a perfect place: on the coast, in front of the port, just one block from the main street; it is a modern, comfortable, well decorated building, with a great view from the restaurant.

Unique Quality: The wood structure gives the place a warm air; the staff is very nice, and the breakfast is just great.
