We were told, hot water, good price and good location. We weren't told the hot water was a lie, the location was next to a club that pumped out repetative beats to a clientel of absolutely no one until the early hours of the morning and children, other guests and the management would be shouting at all hours of the day and night. Music also began again at 6.30am and the staff were about as unhelpful as they could possibly be.
We learnt that its definately worth looking for your own accomodation rather than letting anyone convince you they know a good place because they're probably on comision.
La Cupula is a great hostel situated a short walk up the hill from Copacabana with delightful views across the lake. The restaurant serves delicious meals and the host has a wealth of local information. I wouldn't look elsewhere when this place is so good.
Great service and Rooms.
This hotel offers to the guest good and clean rooms. all the staff of this hotel is nice and i really liked the time that i was there.
Yeah, definitely the most important thing that offers this hotel is the breakfast which is included in the price. It`s so much. there are a lot of things to eat.
I didn't sleep in Copacabana, as I spent that night in Isla del Sol, but if I had, I would have chosen this popular and original hotel in the Calvario Hill, with wonderful views, a little nice garden and original architecture.
It is popular for backpackers. I went there only for restaurant though...
A lovely hotel on the hillside above Copacabana. Good restaurant, book exchange, laundry, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere.
The hotel has a fantastic view over Copacabana and Lake Titicaca. It also has three gardens all with hammocks.
This is one of the nicest hostels I have ever stayed in. It was a great place to recuperate after the 50km Inca trail hike. It is located on a hill that overlooks lake Titicaca.
The hostel has hot showers (sometimes rare in that part of the world) hammocks on their lawn are available with views of the lake. A book exchange and recommendations on things to do in the area. Clean spacious rooms and a delicious restaurant on site. English is spoken if that is important to you.
If you need to make a reservation you can contact them via there website. I have posted the info below.
There are lots of nice hostels on Isla del Sol and I imagine in the main season, it's just jammed packed. We found many of them closed and were glad we chose to do the island as day trip.
I can't show you the hostels but I can show you the types of views you will have if you choose to stay. Here's a local's hut....on Isla del Sol.
This very popular hostel is colorful, clean, centrally located and the host is an amazingly helpful and friendly Bolivian woman. She's like a mom away from home and her daughter who helps with the cleaning and serving of breakfast is really sweet and cute.
The rooms are spare but very clean and there is ample hot water for showers. You can elect to have breakfast on the veranda or in your room and it's very reasonable. The hosts are some of the nicest we encountered on all your travels. She does your laundry for a reasonable fee too. It's worth staying in Copacabana for a night just to stay here!
Great hostel with view over Copacabana and the lake TIticaca. Very comfortable and clean. With kitchen where you self can make your meal and as well restaurant service.
Besides it offers washing machine, book exchange and severa lmore very useful possibilities for back packers
