Hi:
I am a Canadian woman who wishes to stay in La Paz for the month of December...and travel around Bolivia. Is La Paz a better place to stay in order to do this...Does anyone know of any good, clean inexpensive rentals?

I'd like to travel to Argentia from Bolivia for the month of January...any good airlines to consider? How are prices?
I don't know anything about apartments in La Paz, but I am not sure you would want to see Bolivia that way, i.e., from a central location. Bolivia is a large country with not so good infrastructure. In general, it takes a lot of time to get from place to place. I would not recommend getting an apartment in one place. Hotels are reasonably priced throughout the country. I would pick a few places like La Paz, Cororico, Copacabana, and Sucre (or Potosi), and do a more distributed tour with side trips. Trips to the Salar de Uyuni and maybe a riverboat trip would have to be special excursions since they take several days.

hi december hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm everything could be full first advice, la paz is the capital and there u should contact the agency which name is Tobolivia they rent house in la paz cochabamba santa cruz sucre. they organise trips as well, the second advice you can fly untill miami unsited state and from there take aerosur or take canadair directly to peru and from peru enter to bolivia, i will be there in the end of decembre,

La Paz is worlds highest capital city, it is located in a canyon with the city climbing every side and spilling over to the plateau above. It is unique and is in the shadow on a snow-topped mountain.
The people. Just watching the locals go about their daily tasks. The culture, the Women wandering around in their bowler hats and big frilly skirts.
The photo attached is a small section of a crowd watching a street play in Plaza San Fransico, it's not far from the Witches Market and a whole bunch of cheap hostels.
Yeah, always is great to know the main square. this place is called Plaza Murillo. the name comes from a national hero that fought agains the spanish conquers.
also, you`ll be able to see the goverment palace and congress palace.
like at every main place in Bolivia there´s always a lot of trouble here, sometimes you find little expositions of painters, always you meet a lot of indigene street salers, shoe shiners etc. you can also observe always some older bolivians here relaxing in the sun and having their daily discussions.
One important event that happened in Tiwanaku is the Aymara´s new year. the date is june, 21st.
the people receive the shine of the sun raissing their hands. It means that you´ll get more power and blessing from the sun. If you see the Sun door in the middle you see a face like the sun. So for the aymara the sun is consider as a god.
