Hotel Presidente

The Hotel Presidente is a five star hotel located in the centre of La Paz, close to Plaza Murillo. The hotel has 22 floors, with huge glass windows in the rooms offering fantastic views of La Paz. The hotel has a bar, restaurant, pool, sauna, and a myriad of othr facilities. The rooms are large and very nice, with television, mini bar etc. The night we spent here I had altitude sickness and didn't leave the room, so I didn't get to explore the hotel too much. I can say though, that the room service staff are lovely and very helpful, and I'm forever grateful for the mate de coca (coca tea) that they bought me after realising what was wrong. The people I travelled with said the restaurant was nice, and I'm sure if I'd been up to it I would have enjoyed the fantastic view as much as anything else. If you're willing to splurge, then this hotel is certainly worth it.
