Jirira is not as good a location as Coquesa. In Jirira, the view of Volcan Thunupa is partially hidden by hills and it is a long way to the edge of the salt plain; however, there is a much nicer lodging option, Posada Dona Lupe. We did not actually stay at the Posada Dona Lupe but we did stop and look around on our way back to Colchani. It even has rooms with private baths. The Posada Dona Lupe may be getting even better in the future, since there was a lot of new construction in the courtyard.
