Aside from El Centro, Santa Cruz is a modern city with a lot of green everywhere.
One of the cool places to go outside of the Centro is the area around Avenida MonseƱor Rivero between the Cristo monument and the palace of justice (building in the picture). On this boulevard there are plenty of cafes, restaurants and ice-cream shops (even a McDonalds).

"Chicken and saltipapas"
We arrived there in the night. So we were HUNGRY and TURSTY. Went to a restaurant. We sat and asked for chicken. I asked for the Saltipapas, a mix of sausage, potatoes and the bolivian national sauce: ketchup, mostard and mayonese.
"Red light bar"
Then, after the festim (food), we went to the only one open bar in the area, to DRINK. The bar had professional ladies, gays, suspect people, but it did not matter: we were having fun anyway.
You can't really imagine the mess that 20 brasilians make together.
