Hostal Crystal: Hotels in Tarija

by Chicha15

Hostal Crystal was recommended by my cab driver, what a smart man! the hotel is relatively new and right smack in the middle of the main hub.

Very friendly service! the room was always clean, fresh towels, shampoo and laundry service.

Since its right in town, be prepared to hear the constant celebrations going on around you at all hours of the night. It didnt bother me at all. Also, there are no screens on the windows, so if you want fresh air, be prepared to invite mosquitos in if you open those windows!

Hotel Gloria: Nice hotel in Copacabana

by lemondrop

Hotel Gloria is a great hotel with nice views of the lake. Rooms are very clean and the staff is friendly. It's slightly outside of the town center, but only a very short walk to it. Breakfast is included.

Hotel Eldorado-La Paz: Conveniently located hotel

by lemondrop

The Eldorado Hotel is a good base for your stay in LaPaz. It's fairly modern and comfortable, and the rooms are decent. It's in the Sopocachi section of town where there are many restaurants nearby. It's an easy 15 minute walk to Plaza San Francisco and the market area.

Hostal Independencia: Make reservations well in advance! worth it!

by Chicha15

If you are planning on having a comfortable stay, this is your place! the Hotel was very clean, staff very helpful and within walkign distance to the main plaza.

Hostal Rosario: Great View!

by Chicha15

What an incredible view! in walking distance from the famous Lago Titicaca. The Lago is practically their back yard. The rooms are very clean and the hotel is spotless! internet access, friendly service, restaurant with a great view! did i mention the VIEW!

Only negative...far from the center of town. Dont walk alone, the streets are not lit at all until you get to the main strip. The main strip down from the hotel has a few restaurants, but none struck me as anything worth the while. It is best to call a cab and venture into the town.

Hostal Rosario: Dont judge a book by its cover

by Chicha15

Great Stay, friendly staff, english and spanish service. You can exchange dollars for Bolivianos at the front desk. Travel agency. Hotel in Copacabana. While making my travel plans i was able to hear back from their staff the same day.

close to shopping district, witches market, museums, plazas.

Hostal Rosario: Dont judge a book by its cover

by Chicha15

If its your first time visiting La Paz , I highly recommend staying at Hostal Rosario. Their service was flawless from the first contact I had with them while i was making my travel arrangements in the US! they answered all of my questions and even gave me very helpful tips once I arrived. The hotel has a pick up service that awaits for you at the airport. The driver I had was very friendly and gave me information about La Paz and Bolivia on our ride down to the hotel. Now the hotel does not seem like much from the outside...but i really liked that it had colonial set up inside. The neighborhood seemed a bit too busy, but once i saw what was around i was glad to be in that location! within walking distance you can find the witches market, plenty of souvenier shops (really nice stuff, i have regrets of some purchases i did not make) museums, plazas and more.

Hotel Mitru II

by Elmsaafir

The rooms were varied...some dorm style, some private. I opted for the private room, no attached bathroom. Had to walk across the courtyard for that, but no problem...

They have a shared kitchen there so if you want to cook for yourself, that's an option. Also, there are clotheslines available, and even a pool (though at the time, it wasn't useable, as there was a dead cat in it...eww).

Hotel Mitru

by Elmsaafir

This is a great place. It was cheap (about 5 bucks a night), but clean with a very helpful staff. Met some other travellers (from the Netherlands, France, England) there, and ended up hanging out with them during my stay.

Along with the hostel, they offer a variety of tours. I took the "triathalon," a mountain bike, jeep ride, and horseback tour. It was an all day thing and only cost about $25 US.

ALTIPLANO, desert du SUD LIPEZ: UN PEU DE PAYSAGE

by Aurelien5480
