"What will you find there - Food"
Arraial is a city for people who appreciate good food and who would like to go to a tropical paradise without the perils of ending up in a place where no one speaks your language. English and Spanish are spoken by most restaurant owners and menus are available in those two language and in Hebrew.
The best place to sample Brazilian snd international food is at Rua do Mucugê (shown in the picture).
"Where to go - Beaches"
The beaches in Arraial are good, especially pitinga. What you have to do is to go down Rua do Mucugê and, when you arrive at the beach, turn left. You can stay at one of the barracas there or you can keep walking to the left (the beaches to the right have too much algee). To the left (considering that you are facing the ocean) you will walk past parracho, pitinga and you will reach "lagoa azul," a fresh water lake where people take mud baths to moisturize the skin.

"Passeios - nearby trips"
The best thing to do if you have already explored Arraial and the beaches is to take one of the tours that you can buy. I went to Trancoso and Praia do Espelho. I strongly reccomend both. The picture below is of praia do espelho. When you get there, you can sit under the trees on wooden chairs with huge cushions that they provide. Afer you've eaten, chickens come to eat the leftovers. They are very useful because they eat snakes and insects.
