Hyeeh6:

A son-in-law's sister is married and lives at Arraial d'Ajuda. She is brazilian but her husband is german. Both have a child named Talita. I believe they speak english, portuguese and german fine.
If you send them a message saying you are Hyeeh6 member from Virtual Tourist site and are searching for a house to rent in Arraial d'Ajuda you will be welcome. I just send a message to them saying someone VTmember unknown is searching for a house to rent in Arraial. I told them your codename, age, sex gender, and hometown. If you take that chance you may be lucky...
I will paste the site from my son-in-law's sister and husband:

Travel Tips for Pôrto Seguro

For how long?

by elisamen99

Don't make the mistake of going to Porto Seguro on a week long holiday. One week is just not enough. Go for at least two weeks. There are so many things worth seeing (see all my tips!). Its excellent beaches - and the fact that there are so many other things to do. It's a pity that my favourite restaurant in Porto Seguro (Portinho) does not exist here in Portugal!

Axé

by anabelsousa

Everyday different beaches offers shows and you should learn how to dance axé, and lambada....obviously you never can do it as well as they do.
When I went there ( Idon't know if this is the same nowadays....) the best beaches were: Barramares and Axé Moi...

guaiamum

by quartinb

...two days before i left to Brasil a brasilian friend
( bahiana girl )gave me this tip.
you have to try guaiamum, (the name they use for crabs...!)
its not easy to find in regular restaurants, that´s why i posted this here,
off the beathen path tip, but easy to find if you ask anyone.
pic is not very good but its just for you to have a look to this wonderfull snack.

Fazenda da Mãe Teresa ( Mother Theresa Farmhouse)

by APaulo

In this farm it will be able to see the fisheries of guaiamuns and crabs (both crustaceans), each one in its proper habitat, the native bush of side of river and a fishery of coconut palms in different periods of training of growth. It is Atlantic Mata properly said, where we will find primary and secondary trees duly being some identified, lianas and traps for hunting (exactamente as they were used by the aboriginals). Leaving the track, we will return for the river having crossed the "coqueiral" in different periods of training from growth. Also it will be shown to the "dendezeiro" and the elaboration of the oil of dendê, basic ingredient of the bahian cooking traditions; confection of the combs of "piaçava" (for covering of huts), some articles of utility and handycraft made with the proper fruit of the palm. We will still observe innumerable varieties of feet of typical fruits of the region. Mud banns. We cannot leave to enjoy beactifull natural water swimming pool candy. Strolls of caiaque, natural lagoon with "tirolesa", nets for rest, you square of volei of sand, futsal and peteca, stroll the horse.

Beautiful Beaches of Pôrto Seguro

by joaozinh

"Espelho"

There are some very nice beaches in Porto Seguro that are very close to the city. There are also some beautiful beaches very close by that you can drive to or take tours to. Such as, Tranc?so, Cor?a Vermelho, and Espelho. I think "Espelho" was my favorite because it is so beautiful with it's rock formations along the beach. Plus it is very peaceful there without too may people. Anyone wishing to get away from the crowds, should visit "Espelho for a day. Just down the beach is "Praia das Tatarugas" where if you are lucky, you can see some turtles that live there. Very beautiful place.

"Praia das Tatarugas"

A beach that is a short walk from "Espelho."
