Hi all
We stayed in Porto Seguro for 2 weeks, and we love it, I can highly recommend it. We stayed a 15 km from the town of Porto Seguro, and I can recommend to select a hotel close to the city, if you what o grasp more of everyday life of Brazil.
We stayed at hotel – La Torre, and I recommend it, its top class and affordable, and supported us with 3 kids in an excellent manner. Good accommodation (big nice rooms) and super friendly staff.
Remember to take the bus to town to shop in the super marked, and then just visit the beach and the best of the world restaurant there (closes at 17.30). The indoor restaurant at the hotel is 4 stars European standards and the outdoor is just the convenient 3 stars (same kitchen, very limited selection).
If you take all food and drink included, the foods are much diversified and there is plenty of it. The hotel is having nice entertainment in the evenings, nothing to keep you in the hotel, but nice and enjoyable.
Only thing not to do, it to take a Farm trip with event manager from Arke - this is a scam, and the manager is polite but at no use, when you confront him. They dragged us around the country side for a hole day, first to see fields of mango surrounding a single room farm house, and then half the day walking in a small wood (they called in Amazon jungle) and a old couple even fell and hurt themselves, with no assistance from the team there. I can only state.
Hotel, Brazil is the best, we will be back.
