Tropical Tambau Hotel Joao Pessoa

The hotel is straight from the 1970's and has not been updated since that time. It is overpriced and overrated. Plus, the customer service was bordering on terrible; they were very unfriendly and almost rude! Then when I asked people from the area about the hotel, they told me that the hotel was placed on the beach without proper sanitation regulations, as the result of some local corruption. This means that they dump their raw sewage right into the beaches on either side of the hotel! For a hotel that wants to be 4 star in this day and age to dump raw sewage into the ocean is totally unacceptable to me. I found another hotel 2 blocks north called the Verde Green hotel that is new, nice, environmentally friendly and most importantly, the people treated my wife and I really well! It was like night and day difference. I would never recommend Tropical Tambau to anyone.
