Some general observations
"To post a letter or postcard"
Well, you need to find one of these. The postoffices and boxes were surprisingly anonymous. And it is not called post or anything like it. Look for Correios. And take a look at the picture.
"The Fusca"
This one should be familiar to most people around the world. The Beetle. Or any other name you have for it. In Brazil it goes by the name of Fusca. And some people even has that name proudly displayed on the car.
"Where to live"
It seemed to me that many people wanted to move to the city both for security and for convenience.
If you look at the picture, you see a lot of high buildings. These are for living, not offices. They have steel gates and some also have a person guarding the gate making sure no stranger is let in.
It is also more convinient than having a house because you have one or more person(s) taking care of maintenance of the building.
"A big little city"
Goiania is the capital of the Goias state. And for the people here it is a small city.
But for a person coming from Norway, where the capital has about 500.000 people, this is a big city with its 1.5 million people.
"Old monkey learning new tricks?"
The University of Goiania has a forest that is housing a lot of monkeys. They even get inside the classrooms to look for something to eat.
This picture was taken outside and shows one of the older ones. They let me get as close as 3 metres before running away.
