It seems almost like fairy tale house! Really cute that little blue house where is placed the hostel "Lá em Casa"! A quiet and warming atmosphere , 2 beatiful gardens and a wonderful breakfast! I recommend to my friends for sure! Why? First for the good things I've mentioned, second because the crew is really gentil and caring, and last but not least... the neighborhood! Santa Tereza is a lovely place, where neighbors and shop owners know and speak to each other just like in a small town. Besides that Santa Tereza is known by its nice bars and as the place where "Clube da Esquina" was born. Lots of good reasons I guess, no?
The 2 gardens with hammocks!
Great breakfast! Fresh bread and juice of fresh fruits is not easly found in hostels!
- Large clean rooms with an enormous shared bathroom / toilet
- Seems nice and quiet
- One of the cheapest and most central hostels in the city
- There is a taxi stand right in front of the hostel so it is easy to catch a taxi when leaving
- A little bit off from the centre, but it is just a short walk away in a seemingly safe neighbourhood
- No breakfast

Belo Horizonte may offer various accomodations but what really matters in this city is the LOCATION. So you should look carefully if where you stay is located in Lourdes, Funcionarios, Santo Agostinho or Savassi. Anywhere outside Contorno Ave. is not worth going.
Actually there are no outstanding hotels or resorts or accomodations in Belo Horizonte. That is why you should be well located in the neighbouring areas called Lourdes, Funcionarios, Santo Agostinho and Savassi. All inside Contorno(Circular) road.
