Belo Horizonte - What a Wonderful Place !

"The City"

Belo Horizonte is the capital of Minas Gerais State and has a population with about 2,1 million inhabitants.

The metropolis was considered with better quality of life of Latin America for the Population Crisis Commitee of the ONU and has the 45 position in the best ones of the world.
It shows, still, the diploma of "City Model of the Ambient Area". Located in the Southeastern region, in strategical ground position of the country and Americas, it is surrounded by the mountains of the "Serra do Curral", that serve it of natural frame and historical reference.

The city is also known by the great and pleasant climate all the year with average temperature of 21? C. The winter is dry and the rainy summer. Beyond the natural advantages and the easiness of aerial and road access, the "mineira" capital is distinguished for the beauty of its joint architectural, for the strong vocation of the commerce and the rendering of services and still for a rich artistic and cultural production. To the 105 years of age, "BH" ( Belo Horizonte ) is a mixture of tradition and modernity.

Chosen to be the new capital of the Minas Gerais in substitution the Ouro Preto, it was the first city planned in the country. Dynamics, attracts a volume each time bigger of investments. Recognized as center of medical excellency, biotechnology and computer science, Belo Horizonte hosts important national and international events.
Who visit the city must know the Complex Architectural of the Pampulha ( Coomplexo Arquitetônico da Pampulha ); the Liberty Square ( Praça da Liberdade ) ; the Park of the Mangabeiras ( Parque das Mangabeiras ); the museums and the churches; the centers of purchases; the small bars and restaurants, that make the most livened up night of "BH" in the the country.

This is another view from the Liberty Square with the Oscar Niemayer Project , exponent of the Brazilian architecture, is an example of the modern of Belo Horizonte in pioneering times. It integrates the Joint Architectural of the Liberty Square.
