Lagoinha do Leste

If you like hiking you're gonna love this beach! Lagoinha do Leste is located on the east of the island it is a beach with no car access, to get in there you have two options: through the Pantano do Sul path, or through the Armação beach. This picture was taken from the Armação beach path (in my opinion the most beautiful) min before we get to the picture. However this is the longest path (over two hours), so I would recommend to come back through the Pantano do Sul path (one hour).

Well, today isn´t so hot to go to the beach...
No problem... Let´s do another thing. For example... meet new islands!
Anhatomirim - this island is situated in the north, next to the continent. there, it has the Fort of Santa Cruz, an old construction ( 258 years), that served of arrest and base of execution during the Federalist Revolution.
The access to the island is possible through escunas (a type of boat). You can leave of main maritime points of Florianópolis.

Go through the main acess to Garopaba City and turn right on the sign that indicates the place. Go by the dust road until its end. You’ll see restaurants and some shops, that’s the Rosa Sul (Southern Rosa).

The conditions for this spot are S swell and S wind, the wave is usually not hollow and pretty long. During gigantic days the only way in is by the small rock entrance called “Portinho”. It is located on the rigth corner of the beach. If the wind is NE the Rosa Norte (Northern Ros) is the wave. You can even go there walking through the beach or parking your car in a Condo’s entrance that has a paved road (ask locals).



This entrance is located right before Pousada Familia Agrifoglio. Sometimes it is closed . The wave at Rosa Norte is pretty good, with a good left close to the rocks and some good lefts and rights close by. A lot of girls during summer. During mullet season Rosa Norte is always “opened “while Rosa Sul sometimes is. Ask locals. From August to October whales come from South Pole to have their babies there.Close to the Rosa Norte there’s a spot named Praia Vermelha, a private beach where if you don’t have permission you can get there by a trail that goes through the coast of Rosa Norte.

Tourists go to Florianopolis to relax, to do water sports, scuba diving,windsurfing, and so on. There are also tracks and waterfalls.
